Family, Pediatric, and Cosmetic Dentist in Laguna Niguel

Dental care is so important for kids I thought it would be ok to post about. Let's take my 5 year old daughter's first trip to the dentist. She was quite nervous about it, especially since it was coming just weeks after she had got a shot that didn't go too well. As much as we talked about it for days ahead of time, she still had reservations. But Dr. Kristy Vetter was absolutely wonderful with her.

First, she sat in the beautiful leather dentist chair complete with massagers. That was a lot of fun for her. Then she got to wear some dark sunglassess because her eyes were senstive to the dentist's overhead light. Dr. Vetter talked her through the whole exam. She talked about what she was doing and even gave her information about her teeth and teeth in general.

Then the really fun part came. Dr. Vetter put the "purple stuff" on her teeth to show where she wasn't brushing good enough and then gave her a mirror to look. That was "so cool" according to her. And the fun didn't stop there, she got her teeth flossed too!

Because it was such an interactive dental exam, she didn't get to watch a movie, but Dr. Vetter makes that available to just about anyone.

The best part of the whole visit was after she came home. She not only is willing and happy about brushing her teeth two times a day, she also "wants" to floss each night. And, she begs to go back to the dentist. Imagine that?
